In May of 2005, we became aware of the need to foster 2 Aussie or Aussie mix girls that were in a kill shelter in Abilene, TX.  We felt compelled to help them out and we made the drive to Abilene to give the girls a chance to find good homes.

Another Aussie breeder in the area took on one of the girls and we are fostering Haven.  We are not sure if Haven is a mix of Aussie, a mini Aussie or something close to the collie type of dogs.  What we do know about Haven is that she is quite a handful!  The perfect home for Haven will be one that is patient with letting her adjust to new things and preferably has few or no other dogs in the home.  She is sweet, affectionate and fairly active.  She is a small girl, about 25 lbs and the size of a Sheltie.
